Who REALLY Are The Hateful Ones?

April 30, 2010 at 10:09 (General Stupidity, Politics)

Yeh, this is all very offensive, but points out the double standard. Tea Parties have the little old ladies sitting in their lounge chairs at one end of the spectrum, and loud, but peaceful, protesters shouting as much as they can on the other. But we don’t have these. These belong to the other side. And note the content of THEIR protests.

While the right protests health care reform in an effort to bring down costs and access, the left protested the military invasion of a sovereign nation that was of little threat to us.

Just different priorities, I guess. 🙂

Regarding Iraq, as soon as I saw the pictures of the village of Kurds he gassed, and read about the routine murders, rapes, and tortures he and his family committed, I lost all sympathy for him. He deserved to be taken down. Being a sovereign nation should never be an excuse for good men in the world to stand by in the face of atrocity. Despite what many on the left think, there IS such a thing as good and bad. It’s not all morally relative. There are some things that are just wrong.

      • Ben Hoffman said,

Yes, but is it our responsibility to right all the wrongs in the world? What about the atrocities committed by China, Somalia, and many others? What about the 100s of thousands of Iraqis killed as a result of our invasion? What about the trillion dollars we’ve spent on the misguided war?

We have big problems here at home, which is where we need to concentrate our efforts. America first!
